Let’s capture the art in mothering together. We have just a few mini sessions left May 4th and 10th in Portland. Although our focus is the mother/child relationship, dads can come, and expecting moms are welcome too. $59 session fee. Email or DM me for all the details and pricing 🌺

Yesterday I had a day off and some energy to spare

Yesterday I had a day off and some energy to spare, so I set up a photo booth in my front yard and invited neighbors and passers-by to “come as they are” and get their portrait taken.

For most of my sessions, I spend time trying to make the most flattering and candid photos of my clients, so it was a “break” to just photograph people as they are, coming from working in the yard, walking to the bus stop, or having a water fight with their kid on a sunny day.

It would be fun to continue this project so I get a more thorough documentation of our neighbors at this point in our lives, because who knows when it will all change. This idea has been in the back of my mind for a long time, after seeing the work of photography pioneer Richard Avedon way back in college - it’s about time I got around to starting on it. @avedonfoundation

6mo. shoot with one of my Baby Club families Devon, John and Roan. It’s so great getting to know a family over 5 shoots together, the photos keep getting better the more comfort there is in knowing each other. This shoot definitely makes me want to do more urban baby shoots 🌆📸 @devonfiona
