Out of all the different types of photography I do, I have to admit that I love documentary sessions the most. The #1 myth I want to debunk right now is that “it will be exhausting because it’s such a long time to take photographs”. Since I’m not directing you at all, we don’t have any certain expectations for what we want your or your kids to do, and you are just living your life– I promise it’s not stressful at all. It’s raw, honest, and true to you, and I know that looking back you will cherish being able to see what a “day in your life” really was like when your kids (and you) were younger. A visual diary to help you remember all the joy, humor, routines, mishaps, and the love you have for each other.

It was so wonderful spending the day with the Peters family– all the smooches, hugs, silliness, and even the tears (how dare Austin try to get Jamie to wear gloves!?) were all worth documenting. Daphne has a plant and supply business that will soon be opening a brick and mortar shop on Woodstock, which I’m sure will be worth visiting. Go see her website here!

We had a nice relaxing day where Kelly followed us around to all of our favorite spots in our neighborhood and now have a priceless, candid half day documented with our toddler.
