Aimee & Brian
Although I’ve been slow to blog this wedding, it’s always been in the back of my mind. Aimee and Brian had this awesome intimate wedding at a friends beautiful cabin somewhere in the country near Oregon City last summer that I feel like was so honest and raw and DIY and all the things I hope for in a wedding. It was a little different than a lot of my weddings in that they wanted me to keep my distance for ceremony – so I used a long lens and I found it to be really interesting to document things from more of an outsiders perspective than an attendee like usual. I was surprised to have those extra restrictions inspiring at times. Aimee’s daughter Savannah was definitely the co-star and made the most moving and well-written speech to her mom and new step-dad that I’ve ever her from a child her age. I shot this one solo and ended about sunset.
