Josie and Arlo are shepherds from Minnesota– they came to Portland to visit Josie’s grandma and have a surprise wedding while they were here! The wedding happened just a couple days after these photos and I had the joy of photographing that as well. But these “engagement photos” were just the most wonderful excuse to explore the Columbia River Gorge and get some photos of just the two of them in a place that they loved. We laughed so hard throughout the entire session, and I rode that high for days.

Making art for people that are “all-in” with epic landscapes is when I often feel the most inspired. After some favorites from our session together, you’ll see a wall design and album I put together for them too. It’s great to have the digitals, but really my goal is for you to also walk-away from a session with printed art as well– it really does make my heart happy to know your photos will last lifetimes, and not just be a post on Instagram.
