My fine art portrait sessions may not be the style for everyone, and so my lifestyle and documentary sessions may be a better fit, but for those that think it would be fun to have unique artwork hanging on the wall, or in an album, that has you in it – this is the session for you. We have a planning meeting where I hear about you and your family/partner etc., look through your wardrobe, and talk about location, and then I use those bits of knowledge as seeds of inspiration to come up with ideas for our shoot. On the shoot day we “play” and create some of those ideas I came up with, along with anything that is inspiring in the moment that day.

The Rokaw family did not want those “swaddle your baby and stick them in a bucket” type of newborn photos, so as lovers as art we put together ideas that expressed who they are as new parents, and how much she will miss that baby in her body, even though they’re so glad she’s here.
