Portland Wedding Photographer: The Year Was 2020
2020. Weirdest year ever. But also a whole lot of love on display from those that refused to say “no” to marriage, and those getting engaged and starting their wedding journey. They danced in the rain figuratively and sometimes literally. Imperfect was perfect this year. I usually have an epically long “yearbook” of weddings I was a part of, but this year is of course much different since most of my couples moved their weddings to 2021. But oh my gaud, I would have probably been driven crazy if I didn’t get to see at least some of “my people” and commune from a distance to make some art. Photography is my profession, but it also makes me sane.
I commend those people that wore the masks for most of their wedding day, or “Zoomed” their vows so their loved ones could safely watch, I commend those that decided to push it back so they could celebrate big, I commend the weddings with just me, the officiant, and the couple – it’s all beautiful and perfect, if it’s what your heart desires. I really can’t wait to give high-fives and hugs at the end of a wedding night though – I’m feeling hopeful when I say – Bring on 2021!
These felt like a breath of fresh, much-needed air. Amazing as always!
Beautiful photos as always!
