This was a different kind of year. I didn’t shoot the dozens of weddings I normally shoot, most who inquired went running when I told them I was pregnant. Instead I shot a handful of deeply meaningful ones, with people that trusted me despite my big belly and gave me a high-five when I was on hour 7 of the wedding while almost 8 months pregnant. I was glad I was there for them and they were there for me. The following are some moments from my 2018 of both weddings and engagements that made me *feel things*. I will treasure the year because I created work that I loved and finally created a sweet baby that I had been trying for, for over 5 years – it was after all the Chinese “year of the dog” which symbolizes luck.
